Shabbat evening, January 22, 2021 קבלת שבת
Ahavat Olam Synagogue welcomes everyone to join us ONLINE VIA ZOOM in thoughtful, moving Kabbalat Shabbat evening prayers on January 22, 2021 at 7:30pm, mostly sung, much in Hebrew, some in English, some in the language of the heart and in the speech of the angels.

The weekly parshah (Torah portion) is Bo (Exodus 10:1 – 13:16). “Bo” means “go!”: Moses is commanded to “go” to Pharaoh, although — or because — the tyrant’s heart is hardened. When resistance (internal or external) to growth and justice hardens, it becomes brittle, and that’s exactly when we need to “go” and stand up to it.
