Ahavat Olam’s Annual General Meeting for 2019
Members, take note! Ahavat Olam will hold its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 2:00 PM at 2321 Scotia Street, Vancouver, BC, in Apartment 902. That’s at the corner of 7th Avenue and Scotia Street, one block east of Main Street. Come to the front door and there will be someone there to let you in.
Parking in that neighbourhood can be challenging, so please allow extra time if you’re bringing a vehicle. Parking by-laws tend to be fairly strictly enforced. Public transit to the area is good. If you need to use a vehicle and can help by carpooling with other members, please do.
The agenda will include a Special Resolution to change our By-Laws in order to comply with BC’s new Societies Act, as well as reports from the Board and Treasurer and the election of Directors for the coming year. It’s important that we get good representation from our membership at the meeting. Please help us achieve this. The notice of the Special Resolution with proposed By-Law changes will be circulated to our e-mail lists soon.
If you aren’t able to attend the meeting yourself and would like to be represented for any votes, you can designate another member in good standing to attend and act as your proxy. I will forward proxy forms to our e-mail lists soon. Please note that proxy votes do not count toward achieving a quorum, and it’s important for all of us who can to attend in person.
We look forward to seeing you there.
