Rosh ha-Shanah & Yom Kippur 2020 / 5781 – come join us on line!
Ahavat Olam will hold High Holiday services for 2020 / 5781 as we have since 2004 / 5765. All are welcome to attend. There are no tickets. Due to concerns about COVID-19, services will be held on line via Zoom. You can join by computer, tablet, or telephone. Please write to info@ahavat-olam.ca for the login information you’ll need to participate. (You can also watch and listen to our video feed using Facebook Live — please see the links for each event below.)
We are a member-led congregation (chavurah) and depend on the participation of our members and others who wish to be part of the services or help in some way. A number of us are organizing this, and we welcome your ideas and involvement.
Here are some possible ways to get involved: leading in prayers, reading a short story or poem, singing a song…. or helping set up, cleaning up, bringing flowers, food organization, etc. During the High Holiday season, please remember to contribute food and money to Project Isaiah, the Jewish Food Bank. If you would like to participate, but are not sure how, all you have to do is send us an email and one of us will get back to you: info@ahavat-olam.ca.
