Shabbat evening, May 21, 2021 קבלת שבת
Ahavat Olam Synagogue welcomes everyone to join us ONLINE VIA ZOOM in thoughtful, moving Kabbalat Shabbat evening prayers on May 21, 2021 at 7:30pm, mostly sung, much in Hebrew, some in English, some in the language of the heart and in the speech of the angels.

The weekly parshah (Torah portion) is Naso (Numbers 4:21-7:89). It includes laws about the vows of the Nazirite. The Haftarah tells of the birth of Samson, who was dedicated as a Nazirite.
[Many cultures have ideas about not cutting hair. If you start searching the web for images that might be like Samson’s hair, you will find yourself arriving in some interesting places.]
