Ahavat Olam Synagogue welcomes everyone to join us online via Zoom for thoughtful, moving Shabbat evening prayers on January 21, 2022 at 7:30pm, mostly sung, much in Hebrew, some in English, some in the language of the heart and in the speech of the angels.
Please join us if you can: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86731808237?pwd=T094RTFrRTdOSW5iME12Q2dMUkRoZz09
The weekly parshah (Torah portion) is Yitro (Exodus 18:1-20:23). Moses reunites with his wife Zipporah and his father-in-law, Yitro (Jethro, also known as Reuel), who teaches him a valuable lesson about delegating authority and responsibility. The Eternal speaks the Ten Commandments from Mount Sinai, amid thunder, lightning, smoke, and the sound of the shofar.
