The weekly parshah (Torah portion) is Terumah (Exodus 25:1 – 27:19). After the momentous gift of the Ten Commandments, the Eternal provides an opportunity for the Children of Israel to give back by inviting contributions for the construction and furnishing of the Mishkan — the Shekhinah’s dwelling place, the Tabernacle. What gifts can we bring to make a dwelling for the Divine presence in our world, in our bodies, in our hearts and lives and families?
