Ahavat Olam Synagogue welcomes everyone to join us on line via Zoom in thoughtful, moving Shabbat morning prayers on January 8, 2022 at 10:00 am, mostly sung, much in Hebrew, some in English, some in the language of the heart and in the speech of the angels.
Please join us if you can: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84185293494?pwd=eGR0ZUxVNU15cnJTdU8yQWU2ZVJ5UT09
The weekly parshah (Torah portion) is Bo (Exodus 10:1 – 13:16). After the last three devastating plagues of locusts, darkness, and the slaying of the firstborn, Pharaoh at last relents and demands that the Israelites leave, freeing them from bondage. A “mixed multitude” departs in haste, and receives the commandment to observe the Passover. “Parashat Bo is a reminder of the beautiful world that can be built in just an instant, even after destruction and heartache.”(https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/parashat-bo-the-miracle-of-mixed-multitudes/)
